Here we go again! Another on-air argument between the ladies of The View.
Whoopi Goldberg played moderatoron “The View” Monday morning, where she shut down tensions between co-hosts Meghan McCain and Joy Behar.
The first topic of the morning was Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s resignation on Sunday, as the women all debated what incoming, acting DHS secretary Kevin McAleenan should do in her place.
This led to a discussion about border states, as McCain — who’s from Arizona — said people can’t “sit here and act like there isn’t a crisis” there when it comes to illegal immigration. She added it’s not just “crazy people in border states” who are asking for a crackdown.
“Here’s what’s not gonna happen today, we’re not gonna do this,” Whoopi interrupted, shutting down the argument. “Everybody gets a conversation piece, everybody gets to say their piece and we don’t need to comment if we don’t like what we’re hearing. Just let folks talk.”
To Joy, Whoopi added, “So finish what you’re saying.” Joy, still looking shocked, said, “I forgot what it was now.”
