Wendy Williams announced that she is shutting down the philanthropic organization she created with her estranged husband, Kevin Hunter.
Williams revealed that she is dissolving The Hunter Foundation on Wednesday’s episode of her daytime talk show, The Wendy Williams Show. The host read an official statement that said she “remains committed to helping others in the struggles of life.”
“While accepting her new reality, many things in her life have changed,” the statement continued.
According to Page Six, Williams made this decision because she no longer wants to be associated with Hunter following their split.
The foundation was established to help those struggling with drug addiction and substance abuse. Recently, it launched a 24-hour nationwide hotline to offer treatment resources.
