The “hustle and bustle” of the holiday season is as real at home as it is out there in the glow of the decorated store windows.
Those idyllic, fireside nights with a twinkling tree or tables set with fresh linens and sparkling dishes don’t just happen. It takes planning!
That’s why Monica Mangin, designer, TV host and expert DIYer spoke with The Daily Buzz from a DIY Winter Wonderland with tips and inspiration for anyone ready to start stocking up for the holidays.
“I get started early! I am super into the holidays,” said Mangin. “The one thing that feels daunting is shopping and often times that can be overwhelming, so I’ve picked one stop shops like Lowes.”
Mangin believes that the kitchen is the center of the home. “Take a look around your kitchen and see what you may or may not need for the season. The home cooked meals add to the coziness of your home.”
The Christmas Tree is often the centerpiece of your home during the holidays. “Choose a theme. It helps to simplify your decorating ideas and will give your home a cohesive feel,” said Mangin. “The holidays are about making memories!”
