Tamera Mowry-Housley and Husband’s Niece Dies in Shooting

UPDATE: Tamera Mowry-Housley and Adam Housley’s 18-year-old niece died in the shooting in Thousand Oaks, California according to PEOPLE.

“Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks,” Mowry-Housley and Housley told PEOPLE in a statement. “Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.”

Tamera Mowry-Housley and her husband, Adam Housley’s niece is missing after the shooting in Thousand Oaks, California on Wednesday night.

According to Us Weekly, a student from Pepperdine University tweeted on Thursday morning that her suitemate was missing. @amowreader tweeted, “My suitemate is still missing, she is wearing denim shorts, a blue flannel and sneakers, pls let me know if you know anything .”

That student missing turned out to be the Housley’s niece. Mowry-Housley tweeted Ashley, “Ashely this is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley. Can you please DM me your information?”

Ashley responded, “I’ve been in contact with Adam, unfortunately there’s nothing new to report at the moment.”

“Ok. Thank you. Is she the only one unaccounted for?” Mowry-Housley wrote. “Yes, all the other girls are safe,” Ashley said.

Housley tweeted, “Please pray if you believe….pray.”

Twitter user @BLUE62007611 wrote, “Pray for what?” Housley responded, “My niece. A beautiful soul.”

Mowry-Housley’s sister tweeted, “Woke up shocked. Please pray. Please pray. I am numb.”
