Three people, including the wife of Donald Trump Jr., were reportedly taken to the hospital after opening an envelope containing an unknown white powder.
The letter was sent to a Manhattan apartment owned by Vanessa Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law. She reportedly opened a letter about 10 a.m. that was addressed to her husband.
Fox News reported that she was taken to the hospital as a precaution and there was no indication anyone suffered injuries. It was unclear who the other two people were who were also take to the hospital.
The NYPD did not immediately release any information.
Fox News reported that Trump Jr. ditched his Secret Service detail for a period of time in September, reportedly because he wanted more privacy. But his detail was apparently reactivated about a week later.
