It’s been six months since the first trailer for the highly-anticipated Star Wars sequel appeared, but now the wait for its follow-up is over.
The new trailer for the much-anticipated Star Wars: The Last Jedi has arrived. The latest preview for Episode VIII in the new Star Wars trilogy during ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast.
The eighth installment in the series is directed by Rian Johnson. It follows J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, which came out in December 2015.
The latest preview opens with a look into Kylo Ren’s turn to the Dark Side as Supreme Leader Snoke, a shadowy evil in The Force Awakens, tells the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia, “When I found you, I saw raw, untamed power. And beyond that, something truly special.”
Star Wars: The Last Jedi, written and directed by Rian Johnson, stars Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Kelly Marie Tran, Oscar Isaac, Laura Dern, Benicio del Toro, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis.

Tickets for the film’s premiere are on sale now. The premiere is set for December 15, 2017.
