Smart home devices can help you keep track of your schedules, watch TV, stay in touch with family, but you may have questions about how they work and how keep the technology in your home safe.
We spoke with Rishi Chandra, VP and GM of Google Nest, to help to debunk common smart home mistakes and share tips for getting the most from you technology.
“One of the most common smart home myth is that the devices are really hard to get set up. We have simple steps to set up your devices.” said, Chandra. “One myth is that smart home devices listen and that is not true. The individual actually needs to trigger the device by voice command to activate the device. The other myth is cost. We have a wide range of products from low end to high end.”
“Our goal is bring Google into your home concept. We have gadgets for kitchens that will help you with your recipes and different ways to try things out. Take advantage of our Nest Thermostat and saving energy. The individual will see the cost value in that immediately.”
