Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is speaking publicly about his and his family’s struggles with depression.
In an interview with Britain’s Express, Johnson spoke about his mother’s attempted suicide when he was 15. “Struggle and pain is real. I was devastated and depressed,” he told the outlet. “I reached a point where I didn’t want to do a thing or go anywhere. I was crying constantly.”
Got tons of responses to this. Thank you. We all go thru the sludge/shit and depression never discriminates. Took me a long time to realize it but the key is to not be afraid to open up. Especially us dudes have a tendency to keep it in. You’re not alone

He added, “I reached a point where I didn’t want to do a thing or go anywhere. I was crying constantly.”
Johnson also recounted several other moments in his life when he struggled including when injuries ended his chance at an NFL career, only lasting one year in the Canadian Football League and his girlfriend breaking up with him shortly thereafter.
“That was my absolute worst time,” he said.
