Pete Davidson opened up about Ariana Grande’s breakup song, “Thank U, Next.”

The comedian returned to stand-up at the Chevalier Theatre in Boston on New Year’s Eve, according to Us Weekly

Davidson revealed his reaction to his ex-fiancée’s hit song, “That s–t came out before I had to put on a f—ing duck hat and be like, ‘derrrp here’s the pizza!’ So all my friends were there. It was a sad day.”

“This won’t be easy, this is rough,” Davidson continued. “So I start playing it. And we’re all like, ‘Ehhh… it’s ok.’ We’re like ‘Okay, it’s not that bad for you. It’s bad, but it’s not that bad for you.’”

“Here’s the thing about the breakup song. Usually breakup songs you know who it’s about but you don’t really know. That G named all of us,” he added. “Bam. She named all of us. And then, tells us, yeah, he has a big dick.”

Davidson shared that his mother, who is a school nurse, was affected by the song as well. “She was walking in the hallway and some little fucking kid started singing ‘Thank U Next’ to her. Me, I get it, but my mom?” he stated.

Davidson also revealed on Monday that years ago Louis C.K tried to get him fired from SNL.

“I got a Harry Potter tattoo. Then the next day Alan Rickman, the guy who played Snape, died and I was like, oh, what a weird coincidence,” Davidson told the crowd. “Then I got a Willy Wonka tattoo. Next day—Gene Wilder dies. Now I’m like, alright, that’s a coincidence, that’s weird. So I’m thinking of getting a tattoo of Louis C.K., what do you guys think?”

Davidson expressed that when C.K. was hosting SNL, he “told all the producers in front of me that all this kid does is smoke weed and he’s gonna smoke his career away.” Davidson claims C.K. also told executive producer Lorne Michaels that he “smokes so much weed that it makes people uncomfortable.”

Davidson defended himself by saying, “Then five years later this mother—ker’s been locking doors and jerking off in front of people.”
