Actor Mark Wahlberg and Dr. Oz may know a thing or two about healthy living, but there is one thing they do not agree on – the importance of breakfast.
The actor took to social media last week to argue Dr. Oz’s stance on not eating breakfast. Wahlberg posted a video on his Instagram page featuring his friend, Dr. Christopher Vincent, who presented a contrasting view promoting proper sustenance before working out.fa
“If you wanna challenge me, I’ll come hung over, eat a big steak, and you can do your little 20 push-ups with one leg, your assisted pull-up, I’m telling you you’ll need a defibrillator when I’m done with you.” said Wahlberg in an Instagram video.
Wahlberg posts another video challenging Dr. Oz, claiming the actor was “coming” for the doctor.
Later that week, Dr. Oz took to “The Today” show saying he is banning breakfast for a year, calling it a “advertising ploy.”
“Unfortunately, a lot of the dogma that we were fed for decades came out of advertisements. It wasn’t really based on the truth around our health,” Dr. Oz explained to TMZ.
Dr. Oz again fired back at Mark Wahlberg with another social media post sharing a video of himself doing push ups with one leg.
“I watched your video and heard the taunting … I would eat normally but I skip breakfast, I skip lunch.”
“I feel stronger than ever because I’m intermittent fasting, which you should learn more about.”
“The ball’s in your court, my friend. Anytime, anywhere … By the way, those pull-ups, they were real.”
