Lamar Odom revealed that he threatened to kill his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, while high on drugs.
In his new memoir, Darkness to Light, Odom explained that he was angry at Kardashian for calling his friends for help when he started hallucinating.
“Khloé came down and knocked on the door. I opened it suddenly and grabbed her forcefully by the shoulders, which frightened her,” he wrote. “‘What the f–k are you doing?’ I screamed, out of my mind. ‘You trying to embarrass me in front of my friends? I’ll f–king kill you! You don’t know what I’m capable of!’”
“I was embarrassed and ashamed,” he recalled. “It was a new low for our relationship and my life … the most regrettable moment in a series of regrettable moments.”
Kardashian and Odom got married in September 2009. The couple split in 2013, but their divorce wasn’t finalized until 2016.
Odom spoke with Good Morning America on Tuesday about the confessions he made in his memoir. “Yeah. [I owe] her and her family an apology. Big time,” he said. “I was professional at hiding it, Khloe didn’t know for a long time. When you’re married you don’t want your wife to know you sniff coke and have sex with other women… She took care of me. Everything I ever wanted or needed.”
