Justin Bieber released his new docuseries, “Seasons,” on January 27, setting a new record for YouTube. The first episode was scored the most-viewed premiere of all the platform’s originals to date in its first week.
The first episode of the docuseries had 32.65 million views in the first week. That surpassed the YouTube’s original “Liza On Demand” which was at 24.7 million views in the first week, following the first episode of “Cobra Kai” with was 21 million views. Variety revealed that YouTube paid 20 million dollars for the 10-episode series. The episodes are focused on Bieber’s last four years after his album, Purpose. This partnership with YouTube is fitting for Bieber as he was discovered on the platform, making the singer the most-followed musician on the channel.
