World Cup Champion Julie Foudy Talks Running for a Cause

Julie Foudy

2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the US Women’s National Team’s famous World Cup win on US soil. Julie Foudy was part of that historic team and still follows the Women’s World Cup. She shares her unique insight into how this year’s squad is shaping up.

And, when it comes to staying in shape – did you know that a soccer player will run between 7 and 9 miles in the course of a game? Off the field, running is still a passion for Julie and now, a part of a new initiative where we can all “lace up” and help young girls across the country.

May is National Runners’ Month at DICK’S Sporting Goods and Julie is teaming up with DICK’S as they celebrate with the Run Your Run myK virtual race. The virtual race can be completed anywhere and $5 dollars from every registration will benefit Girls On The Run, a non-profit organization devoted to empowering girls ages 8 – 14. Julie gives you details on how anyone can join in on the virtual race and how DICK’S will take care of you if you do.
