Country star Jason Aldean appeared in an interview on TODAY , opening up about his life after the Las Vegas shooting and portrayed that he does not want to relive this tragic event.
Aldean was performing on stage at the Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada on October 1, 2017 when a gunman opened fire on the crowd. What started off as a fun night ended up being a tragedy where 58 people died and 851 were injured.
Aldean expressed what it was like to have his pregnant wife attend the concert. “On one hand I hate that she was there to have to experience it. On the other hand, I know if she was at home and saw it on the news she would have freaked out. I don’t know what would have been worse,” he said.
Aldean wants to move forward from the horrific event and does not want to only be remembered for it. “That’s not something I want on my resume for the rest of my life. For me, it’s something, not that I want to forget, but it’s just something I choose to not relive over and over.”
