It looks like Harry Styles won’t be playing Prince Eric in Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, according to TheWrap.

Fans were excited on Tuesday when AMC Theaters and Regal Cinemas tweeted that Styles officially nabbed the role. However, reports claim that the actor-singer turned down the role.

The One Direction member is reportedly a fan of the project, but he respectfully declined the offer. Disney announced that Halle Bailey will portray Ariel, but now fans are curious as to who will play the beloved prince.
