There’s a fish named Captain Gill that will predict how much longer boating season will last, and that the end of the summer does not always mean the end of boating.
Discover Boating, a boating group, believes the fish has mystical powers.
An actor in captain’s hat read one aloud: “Here ye, Here ye … I do not see my shadow!”
And with that — plus some confetti cannons and the screech of a dozen air horns — the boating season was extended.
Captain Gill, as interpreted by the people at Discover Boating, “saw” his shadow and declared six more weeks of boating. So get out there, sailor. pic.twitter.com/3Etq6828qx
