Dennis Rodman plans to invite Mr. West out to North Korea as soon as his next trip is planned.
This comes after Kanye tweeted about the former NBA star, ‘Thank to one of my biggest inspirations always breaking barriers with independent thought.’
Rodman doesn’t use social media but found out the good news through his agent.
‘You know, I don’t do Instagram and stuff like that. My kids do it. I just know my agent called me and said, ‘Dennis, Kanye West gave you a good shoutout’ I said, ‘OK, great,’ Rodman told US Weekly.
Rodman thinks that Yeezy can get his next inspiration, for his 9th studio album, through their week stay in North Korea. The two also share a similar like for President Donald Trump and they also have attended Black Lives Matter events in the past.
“I think that he respects me as far as understanding my views. And Kanye, he’s doing amazing work around the world so I respect him, too,” Rodman told Us Weekly. “So hopefully one day we’ll get together and collaborate on certain things. Guess what, I’ll take Kanye West to North Korea with me.”
Rodman last visited the country in June 2017 to meet with Kim Jong Un to improve relations between the U.S. and North Korea. He’s made a total of five visits to North Korea, and even joined President Donald Trump on his summit with the dictator in Singapore.
Rodman is one of the few Westerners to have spent time with Kim Jong-un during multiple visits to Pyongyang. The two struck up an unlikely friendship over their shared love of basketball.
