According to Wonderwall, Demi Lovato was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital early Tuesday morning after she suffered a drug overdose, but is now in “stable” condition.
Lovato suffered from an “apparent Heroin overdose,” according to a police statement. However, sources that are close to the singer/actress are confident that she wasn’t abusing Heroin.
The police and paramedics rushed to a private residence in Hollywood Hills to deal with a medical emergency. Lovato was unconscious when authorities arrived at her home, but they were able to revive her with the emergency drug Narcan.
The “Sober” singer spoke out about her relapse in the latest single. She was sober for six years before she ended her sobriety earlier this year.
“Momma I’m so sorry / I’m not sober anymore / And Daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor,” she sang. “To the ones who never left me / we’ve been down this road before / I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.”
Since the singer’s hospitalization, all her appearances have been cancelled until Demi makes a full recovery.
