Danica Patrick will be stepping down from race track after she competes in her last Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.
Before she hits the track for the last time, she opened up about her relationship with Green Bay Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers on Jenny McCarthy’s SiriusXM radio show.
Patrick, 36 and Rodgers, 34 both met at the ESPY’s back in 2012.
“We met at the ESPYs in 2012. We both remember meeting each other, it was quick,” Patrick said, before laughing. “I got his email address, and I remember thinking to myself, ‘Oh, not a phone number? Just an email address?”
Patrick has been a long time Chicago Bears fan, but since her recent romance with Rodgers is heating up, she’ll be cheering for her beau and the rest of the Green Bay Packers during this upcoming season.
Rodgers split with Olivia Munn back in 2017 and Patrick split with NASCAR racer Ricky Stenhouse Jr. back in 2017.
In an interview with ESPN’s Mike Greenberg, Patrick explained why the 102nd Indy 500 would be her last race.
“I just stopped having fun, I don’t love racing—like I love cars and I love driving them—my favorite part is really about the progression and setting goals and accomplishing them,” Patrick explained. “For me, a lot of the things that I was there for seemed like they were slipping away, so it wasn’t as fun anymore.”
Tune in to Danica Patrick’s last ride on May 27, 2018.
