Channing Tatum’s Home Threatened by Wildfires

A brush fire is threatening the Benedict Canyon area in Los Angeles, a location known for its multi-million dollar homes.

The affluent neighborhood is home to a several Hollywood stars, including Barbara Eden, Jessica Alba, Jon Voight, Lisa Vanderpump, Jon Lovitz and Emmy Rossum,  including Channing Tatum’s $6 million Cape Cod-style home.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, more than 150 firefighters have been assigned to fight the fire with “more being added.” The LAFD said the fire encompassed a number of homes in the area are under “immediate threat.”

The Portola Fire, which was reportedly caused by a weed wacker being used in a resident’s yard on Portola Drive, threatens the Beverly Crest area near Benedict Canyon in Los Angeles

Benedict Canyon is on the west side of Beverly Hills, north of Sunset Blvd. and east of Bel Air and the 405 freeway. Authorities and news media crews are recommending avoiding the entire Benedict Canyon area so that emergency services can access the fire.
