Britney Spears Requests New Restraining Order Against Ex-Manager

Britney Spears requested a new restraining order against her former manager, Sam Lutfi.

Days after checking out of a mental health facility, Spears’ attorney filed documents for a temporary restraining order due to harassment. Lutfi was Spears’ manager in the early 2000’s, and her family blames him for her mental breakdown in 2008.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, spears requested that her parents and two sons be protected as well. “Lutfi began a new campaign of harassment against Ms. Spears and her family,” the docs read.

“In the last week alone, Mr. Lutfi has made dozens of disparaging and threatening comments on social media and in interviews. He has sent threatening texts to Ms. Spears’ family, he has leaked confidential information, and is considering releasing more of Ms. Spears’ (actual and fabricated) private information. … Mr. Lutfi’s actions threaten Ms. Spears’ safety and well-being.”

The filing claims that Lutfi has used his social media to coordinate “harassment indirectly on his behalf” by spreading misinformation about Spears and her team, “as well as offering bribes and threatening the release of private information.”

Lutfi has shared numerous things related to the #FreeBritney movement on Twitter, which claims that Spears was being held against her will in the treatment facility.

The papers show that Lutfi sent Britney’s mom, Lynne, an “unhinged” text on April 29. Lutfi wrote, “You are the one that’s been breaking your back for your children your entire life and yet you are still having to answer to people that have done nothing for your family yet they are in charge.”

He also said, “You need to stop allowing anyone to treat you poorly. Lou lives like a queen and does what she wants. You how how poorly she speaks about you behind your back,” adding, “I want to just be able to provide you all the resources that you’ll need for this transition if that is the plan. Everything from counsel to $.”

Lutfi tried to send Lynne $1,000, but she sent the payment back. Lynne plans to attend her daughter’s conservation hearing on Friday. Her attorneys wrote that it is in the pop star’s “best interest to allow Lynne Spears to have a voice at the Status Hearing.”

I wanted to say hi, because things that are being said have just gotten out of control!!! Wow!!! There’s rumors, death threats to my family and my team, and just so many things crazy things being said. I am trying to take a moment for myself, but everything that’s happening is just making it harder for me. Don’t believe everything you read and hear. These fake emails everywhere were crafted by Sam Lutfi years ago… I did not write them. He was pretending to be me and communicating with my team with a fake email address. My situation is unique, but I promise I’m doing what’s best at this moment ??? You may not know this about me, but I am strong, and stand up for what I want! Your love and dedication is amazing, but what I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way. If you could do that, I would be forever grateful. Love you ??????
