On Wednesday, September 5, Arie Luyendyk Jr., the 36-year-old race car driver, shared an image of the invitations for the upcoming nuptials.
“Sending these out this week! January can’t come soon enough,” he captioned the Instagram of the card, which shows the couple gazing into each other’s eyes with a view of a beautiful meadow in the background. The cards also reveal that the pair’s wedding is only a few short months away on January 12, 2019 and will be held at the Haiku Mill.
Although many expected the couple to strike a deal to have their wedding televised, that isn’t the case. “It’s not your typical beach wedding. And it’s a private wedding, so not on TV — just a close group of friends. Probably 100 guests,” the pair said on The View about their big day.
The post comes just one day after ABC unveiled their new Bachelor — Colton Underwood — on Good Morning America. Luyendyk has yet to comment on the news, but we think it’s safe to say he’s pleased the attention will be shifted to another man, after his controversial season finale aired in March.
In Lauren’s Instagram stories, she also showed off the back of the invitation, which has a black-and-white photo of them together. The invitations also included all the important info, including the location, time, and date, as well as their wedding website for additional information.
