Alex Trebek Announces Cancer Setback, Undergoing Chemotherapy

Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek announced a setback in his battle with cancer Tuesday morning.

Trebeck told Good Morning America that he is undergoing another round of chemotherapy. The beloved host said he’s lost a substantial amount of weight amid his battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and his numbers have been ‘sky high.’

“My numbers went south, dramatically and quickly,” Trebek announces. “it appears I will have more chemo treatments ahead of me.”

Trebek was slated to return to the show this season. He said he’s also been battling depression since his diagnosis in March of this year. After his diagnosis, Trebek went on to host 35 shows and was reportedly filming in July.
