A Swedish court determined that A$AP Rocky has been found guilty of assault after his involvement in a brawl.
The rapper and two members of his entourage were arrested in Stockholm after a fight with 19-year-old, Mustafa Jafari. Rocky spent nearly a month in jail as he awaited trial.
Prosecutors were seeking a six-month prison sentence for Rocky’s part in the June 30 brawl. However, he will not serve more jail time. The three men were ordered to pay 12,500 Swedish krona — roughly $1,300 — in damages to the victim. They are also required to repay the legal fees of the victim and state.
“Based on statements from two witnesses, the court finds that the defendants were not subject to a current or imminent criminal attack,” the ruling said.
“Therefore, they were not in a situation where they were entitled to use violence in self-defense. Nor could they have perceived themselves to be in such a situation.”
